Pushed into SUV, witnesses?

Police have renewed a call for public help in solving a disturbing case in which a man was pushed into traffic and struck by an SUV.

The incident happened more than four months ago in Vancouver when two men were walking from the PNE Amphitheatre after a concert on July 15.

They stopped to check on a woman who appeared intoxicated, and seconds later were confronted by a man who shoved one of them into traffic.

A 37-year-old Surrey man was driven over by the SUV, police say. The driver remained on scene, and the victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect is described as a white man in his mid-twenties, six feet to six-foot-two tall, with a heavy, athletic build. The suspect and the woman, believed to be his friend, fled on foot.

The woman is Asian, five-foot-two to five-foot-four, with a slim build, and medium-length black hair.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 604-717-2541, or CrimeStoppers.
