The Window Display Contest sponsored by Castanet Saturday with the Downtown Vernon Association, starts Saturday Nov. 24 at 9 a.m. and ends on Saturday, Dec. 22 at 11:59 p.m

For downtown businesses, getting into the Christmas spirit could bring a present from Castanet.

The Window Display Contest sponsored by Castanet in conjunction with the Downtown Vernon Association, starts Saturday Nov. 24 at 9 a.m. and ends on Saturday, Dec. 22 at 11:59 p.m.

The business with the best window decoration will win a $750 Castanet advertising package.

Here’s how it works:

• Decorate your window display keeping in mind the Mr. and/or Mrs. Clause theme on or before November 24.
• Put up the poster in your window which will identify you as a participating business, the poster will have a number unique to your business.
• Customers vote for their favourite display online: a link will be live on the DVA website (unique landing page) and social media accounts beginning Nov. 24.
• There will be 100 Downtown Dollars awarded to one randomly chosen customer to encourage voting and sharing during the competition.
• The business with the most votes will be announced on social media Dec. 23 and contacted separately to arrange a meeting with Castanet.
