Clothing has second life

The Great Closet Cleanout is back.

Tables of gently used clothing, shoes and accessories will be available Sunday at the Westbank Lions Hall, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

“This event not only helps protect the environment, but also helps several local charities – the Central Okanagan Food Bank and Mamas for Mamas,” said Rosanne Ting-Mak Brown, organizer of the event.

Gift bags will be available for the first 100 women through the door.

The event supports the food bank with a portion of the proceeds. All leftover clothing will go to Mamas for Mamas.

Admission is $5, kids 12 and under are free.

More details are available at www.greatclosetcleanout.com.
