Explore the beauty of rocks next weekend during the event 'Vernon Rocks' at the Dogwood Gym inside the Vernon Recreation Complex.
The second annual event, hosted by the Vernon Lapidary and Mineral Club, will feature rocks, minerals, crystals, gems and jewellery.
Members of the Vernon Lapidary and Mineral Club will be on hand to answer questions and will be showing and selling items as well.
The free event will also feature the Vernon Placer Miners Club who will be teaching people how to pan for gold.
With every purchase you make at the show you will be given a ticket for a chance to win a mineral specimen.
The Vernon Club has recently set up a workshop on L&A Road in Vernon. Members learn to cut, shape and polish rocks they have found or bought.
The event takes place on Nov. 17 and 18 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m each day.
