Vipers lose in OT

The Vernon Vipers were unable to close the door on division rivals the Penticton Vees on Wednesday night. 

Vernon had a 2-1 lead with a little more than five minutes left in the third, but a  Ryan Sandelin goal at 14:53 squared it up. 

The game went to overtime with Penticton's Eric Linell potting the winner 32 seconds into the extra frame. 

Ben Sanderson and Sebastian Streu had the goals for Vernon. 

Penticton's Eric Linell, Vernon's Sebastian Streu and Penticton's James Miller were named the games three stars. 

Vernon plays next in Merrit Friday night.
