Power out grounds flights

More flight delays Thursday morning, this time on the coast.

A power outage at Vancouver International Airport's domestic terminal forced the cancellation of flights and delays.

A social media post this morning let travellers know about the issue and indicated that U.S. and international flights are not impacted.

"Passengers are still being processed through security, but some services in the domestic terminal are affected," the airport wrote. "Crews are working to fix as quickly as possible."

The power shortage hit Pier C, and set off a domino of problems with baggage and gates. Some lights have also been dimmed because of the issue.

The power problem has now been, but there have been a number of delays and travellers have been impacted.

So far the delay does not appear to have any impact on flights in or out of Kelowna International Airport.
