Entrepreneurs will bare all

If you’re looking for real discussions about business failures, it doesn’t get much more authentic than F-up Night.

F-up Night—feel free to fill in the blank there—is a gathering of entrepreneurs who discuss where it all went wrong. No sugarcoating. No white lies. Kelowna’s Innovation Centre will host its third F-up Night on Wednesday from 6 to 7 p.m.

“Everyone’s being very vulnerable, and it does feel very genuine,” Innovation Centre community curator Leslie Thomson said. “The premise is three or four individuals get up, and they have seven minutes to talk about a professional failure.

“The majority of that presentation has to be talking about the failure. You can take the last 30 seconds or minute to say what you learned from it, but the rule is you can’t spin it at the end.”
