Results from outlying areas

Christine Fraser is the mayor elect of Spallumcheen.

The longtime Spallumcheen councillor beat former mayor Janice Brown for the top job.

Fraser received 679 votes to Brown's 307.

In council chambers will be Todd York, Christine LeMaire, Gerry Popoff, Joe Van Tienhoven, Andrew Casson and John Bakker.

In the Regional District of North Okanagan, Bob Fleming will return as director of Electoral Area B.

Fleming, who has served as RDNO chairperson for several years, received 344 votes to challenger Myles McGovern's 273 votes.

Amanda Shatzko will represent constituents in Electoral Area C with 440 votes over Mike Randell who had 310 votes.

In Electoral Area F, Denise Delisle squeaked past Lori Heins by a mere six votes. Delisle collected 217 votes to Hein's 201.

In Armstrong, Chris Pieper was acclaimed as mayor prior to election day.

Council will be made up of Jim Wright, Gary Froats, Shirley Fowler, Paul Britton, Steven Drapala and Linda Fisher.

In Coldstream, Jim Garlick trounced challenger Bill Firman with 2,154 votes compared to 419.

Coldstream council will consist of Ruth Hoyte, Pat Cochrane, Doug Dirk, Stephanie Hoffman, Richard Enns and Glen Taylor.

Gyula Kiss was not re-elected to council.

In Lumby, Kevin Acton was acclaimed as mayor and he will be working with councillors Randal Ostafichuk, Lorelei Fiset, Sherry Kineshanko and Lori Mindnich.

For the cultural referendum, 1,590 Coldstream residents voted in favour of the new cultural centre with 1,000 voting against it.
