Voter turnout up in Vernon

It appears there is an increase in voter turnout in Vernon. 

Preliminary data provided by the City of Vernon shows that more voters cast a ballot this year in advance polls and special opportunity voting than in the two previous municipal elections, respectively.  

2018 advance polls and special opportunity voting: 2,226

2014 advance polls and special opportunity voting: 2,074

2011 advance polls and special opportunity voting: 1,662

The 2018 general municipal election is tomorrow, Oct. 20.

In Vernon, you have three options to cast a ballot:

Saturday, October 20, Ellison Elementary School, 2400 Fulton Road

Saturday, October 20, Vernon Secondary School, 2100 15th Street

Saturday, October 20,  Greater Vernon Recreation Centre, 3310 37th Avenue

Voting Opportunities are 8 a.m. until 8 p.m.
