Get your bike back

In an average week, Vernon RCMP recover three to four stolen bikes and often can not find the original owners.

Police are reminding people there are steps they can take to get their bike back if it is stolen.

Bike owners should record the serial number, located on the bottom of the bike frame of the bike, and keep it in a safe place at home.

If the bike is lost or stolen, report it to the police and provide them with the serial number, make, model and any photos. This will ensure that if the bike is ever located by an officer, they will know who it belongs to.

Riders can also register your bike with Garage 529.

A free app that captures all the important information about a bike.
