The owner of a Kelowna-based cleaning company will be in Vernon today looking for more employees to add to her team.

Kendra McFarland hopes to hire about 10 hardworking Vernonites to start a new job she is taking on at SilverStar Mountain Resort this winter.

The job would consist of cleaning rental vacation homes.

"It can be a really special experience cleaning a vacation rental," she said. "Adding to the vacation industry and being around all that happiness up at SilverStar, it's going to be a really neat experience for whoever decides to accept the job and whoever I chose to be a good fit for the team."

SilverStar Mountain Resort is a vacation destination spot in the Okanagan and each year thousands of people from all over the world make their way to the renown mountain to hit the slopes.

McFarland will be hosting one-on-one meetings for hardworking individuals who are interested in one of the positions at the Naked Pig Barbecue & Smokehouse Wednesday afternoon.

If you are unable to schedule a meeting tomorrow McFarland asks that interested candidates still email her, she says there will be more opportunities in the future. A full cleaning team will need to be trained by November.
