With just a month to go until municipal election day and candidate signs popping up all over town, Castanet hit the streets to ask a simple question of Penticton locals — who's running for mayor?

There are six candidates: incumbent Andrew Jakubeit, James Blake, Jason Cox, Jukka Laurio, John Vassilaki and Dominic Wheeler. But nobody got all six, and some had trouble even naming one. 

"I'm bad for this," one woman said, with her companion shaking his head and adding "I don't know."

"No clue," said another man. His friend jumped in to say "I can't even remember what the mayor's name is."

Others had guesses that were close, but no cigar. 

"Jukko Laureate, and there's Nick, Nick Vassilaki," one woman said. 

One man got two, Jakubeit and Cox, but then chuckled at the fact he couldn't get any more, saying "I work for the city!" He added he still has to do some research on the candidates. 

Another woman got Jakubeit, Cox, Laurio and Blake.
