2 SUVs rummaged through

Alanna Kelly

A West Kelowna family went for a 15 minute walk in Cedar Creek Park, and when they returned to their two vehicles, they found the windows smashed.

Not only was her and her sister's SUV damaged, but belongings such as passports were stolen from inside the vehicle.

Janet Fiume said they returned to their vehicles at 5:45 p.m. on September 15 to see glass on the floor beside the vehicles.

“They took my passport, credit card, everything… $500 worth of products, a gold ring,” she said.

Fiume said her children were startled and they called police right way.

“Someone could have thrown it anywhere,” she said. “I feel so bad.”

West Kelowna RCMP Cpl. Meghan Foster tells Castanet News there is an investigation into the theft from the vehicle.

Anyone with information or thinks they witnessed something should contact RCMP.
