A fire Monday night near the University of the Fraser Valley in Abbotsford is believed to have started in a homeless camp.
The fire broke out about 9 p.m. in a forested area in a park south of the campus.
Firefighters found the remnants of a cooking fire at the scene.
The fire grew to about 30x30 metres before firefighters were able to get it under control.
Crews were extinguishing hot spots by about 11 p.m.
