Salmon Arm RCMP were called to 80 separate incidents over the Roots and Blues weekend.

As in previous years, our detachment does notice and increased call volume attributed to having the increased population in town," stated Staff Sgt. Scott West. "We prepare for this by having extra staff on duty patrolling the streets and walking on the grounds."

From a policing perspective, West stated that the event appeared to have gone well.  

"Our hope is that all of the Festival goers had a great experience while attending the event and spending time in Salmon Arm."
