DriveBC says the Trans-Canada Highway has reopened to alternating single-lane traffic east of Sicamous, following a crash that closure the highway for close to two hours.

ORIGINAL: 6:55 p.m.

The Trans-Canada Highway is closed in both directions between Sicamous and Malakwa due to a collision, DriveBC reports.

The incident occurred about 10 kilometres east of Sicamous at about 6 p.m.

DriveBC says the road will likely reopen at 8 p.m.

Further details of the crash are currently unknown.
