Mystery man grabs woman

Surrey RCMP are hoping the public can help identify a man who grabbed a woman in Fraser Heights.

Sgt. Chad Greig said on Aug. 13 at 11 p.m., police responded to a report of a 27-year-old female who was grabbed from behind by an unknown male while walking in the area of 111A Avenue and 161A Street.

“The female was able to free herself from the suspect and flee the area. She was not injured,” said Greig.

The male suspect is described as Caucasian, 5’8”, medium build, wearing a black Nike hoodie and grey sweatpants. The male’s vehicle was described as a black 2000 Chevrolet pickup with Silver Convex rims, possibly a two-door extended cab.  

“Surrey RCMP is reminding the public to be aware of their surroundings and report any suspicious activity,” said Greig.
