Missing boy found

UPDATE: 11:30 a.m.

A missing five-year-old boy has been found safe.

The boy was last seen riding his bicycle in the South Pandosy area at about 10:15 a.m. on Monday by his care giver.

Minutes after a press release was issued by RCMP, the boy was located.

"RCMP wish to thank all those who assisted with this search, and express our appreciation to our partners with Central Okanagan Search and Rescue who were in the process of calling out volunteers," said Cpl. Jesse O'Donaghey.

A five-year-old Kelowna boy is missing and was last seen riding his bicycle Monday morning.

Police are currently engaging a canine team, all-terrain-vehicles and aircraft to searching for the missing boy.

Shawn Jr., was last seen riding his bicycle in the South Pandosy area at 10:15 a.m.

“RCMP responded to a report of a missing child, last seen by a care giver in the 3000 block of Abbott Street,” said Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey.

Multiple police officers are searching on foot and by vehicle for the boy.

Shawn Jr. is described as four feet tall, with sandy blonde hair and blue eyes.

He was last seen wearing a pink shirt, pair of dark shorts and a grey helmet and was riding his green, camouflage bicycle.

Anyone who sees the boy is asked to contact Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300.
