Big White's new Slopestyle Centre opens this weekend for mountain bikers to shred.

The elite training facility recently hosted the Big White Invitational Slopestyle competition and opens to the public on Saturday. 

The course allows for safe progression for those new to the sport, while giving experienced riders all the features they need to get some big air.

The course includes a lipped step down, straight dirt jump, an "on-off box" with an eight-foot flat drop, a mulch jump with "cannon log" option and a quarterpipe-to-bank feature.

A regular pass or ticket for the bike park give riders unlimited access. Riders should note the pro line used for the Slopestyle gold event is reserved for special events and will remain closed to the public, however.

The centre will be open Saturdays and Sundays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. during the regular bike park season.
