A sailboat beached in a windstorm is finally back in the water.

A Castanet News reader sent in photographs of the boat that had been sitting on its side at Bluebird Beach South Beach for weeks after a strong wind storm.

Owner Rod Addison came forward and said the boat was his, but he was having issues finding help to get it back in the water.

On Saturday afternoon, a group of men were able to push the boat back in the water and anchor it.

Addison said the boat didn’t appear “smashed up.”
