Neighbours douse car fire

Neighbours were able to douse a car fire with a garden hose Wednesday in Penticton.

The Penticton Fire Department was called to a Wiltse Boulevard home around 3:35 p.m. for a vehicle fire. By the time they arrived, neighbours had already suppressed most of the flames with a hose, according to Capt. Graham Vujcich.

Fire crews then took over and fully extinguished the blaze.

The fire started under the hood of the Honda Accord when the driver started the engine.
