Sunday night's intense storm ripped a number of boats lose from their docks.

Mathew Chadwick says his 2006 Ultra custom boat broke free from Barona Beach in West Kelowna and is nowhere to be seen.

"It came off the boat lift. The lift failed and let my boat go. The good news is, it didn't damage other boats," said Chadwick.

He says he woke up to his kids telling him the boat was gone.

"The storm was intense, so I went down to check on the boat this morning at about 3:30 a.m. and it was still there. The kids went down this morning, and said 'Dad, your boat's not there.'"

He believes the boat was likely pushed north in the storm.

"We went down to Green Bay, and now we are headed down to the bridge. Hopefully, someone will see it," Chadwick said.
