The Vernon Farmer's Market will be celebrating Canada Day with some special events this year.

Held on July 2, the market, which is held in the Kal Tire Place parking lot, will feature entertainment by Broke-N-Notes, the singing of O' Canada at noon and free, reusable shopping bags while quantities last.

There will also be children's activities, face painting, festive decorations, a live alpaca display and more.

And, of course, all of the regular market fare such as fresh fruits and veggies, artisanal treats, baking, wine and a wealth of other items will be available as well.
