The last day of school for many Kelowna school-aged children is coming fast.

Parents are now looking for ways to keep their children engaged and active over the summer.

Here's one idea, check out the Kelowna Paddle Centre.

This past weekend seventeen children aged 7-14 took part in the first annual Waterman kids. They raced in surfski kayaks, outrigger canoes and stand up paddle boards as part of the Kelowna Paddle Centre€™s Waterman Festival.

Teams from the lower mainland, Kamloops, Vernon, Penticton and Calgary. Teams competed in 6-man outrigger canoe sprint races and individual SUP, surfski and outrigger canoe races.
