Yet another motel has changed hands in Penticton.
The 26-room Beachside Motel, near Skaha Lake Park on Parkview Street, has been sold for $3.35M by NAI Commercial Okanagan, according to managing broker Philip Hare.
The property has gone to a developer out of Vancouver, which has plans to operate the motel for the short to mid-term. It's the latest in a flurry of motel sales in Penticton the last 18 months, which also saw the Slumber Lodge Motel sell for $3.5M and the Jubilee Motel for $1.2M last year.
The longtime local owners of the Beachside Motel are reportedly planning their retirement, but could not be reached for comment.
