Police blocked in a truck and arrested a person inside in West Kelowna Tuesday afternoon.

Police made a dramatic arrest in Westbank Tuesday afternoon.

Several police cruisers boxed in a black pickup truck on Old Okanagan Highway near Dobbin Road just before 4 p.m.

A witness at the scene said a person was arrested, but it's unclear what the arrest was related to.

The police incident briefly backed up traffic on Dobbin Road, but it has since cleared.

Castanet is waiting to hear back from the RCMP with details about the arrest.
