Market downtown Sunday

Motorists should avoid St. Paul Street in downtown Kelowna this Sunday, and every Sunday until mid September.

St. Paul will be closed to all traffic from Bernard to Doyle avenues until Sept. 16 to accommodate the downtown Kelowna Farmers' and Crafter's Market.

The street will be closed from 6 a.m. until 4 p.m.

The market itself runs from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.

The market was held on several Saturday's in the summer downtown, however, director Dave Price says running at the same time as the main market was problematic.

Operating Sunday will also allow the market to avoid a number of special events held downtown on Saturday's in the summer.

The Rutland Community Market also takes place Sunday's until Oct. 26.

To make room for the market, a portion of the Roxby Plaza parking lot will be closed from 5:30 a.m. until 3 p.m.
