Apps galore at museum

There’s an app for that.

In fact, there is an app for just about everything.

Cell phones have morphed into more than just a way to talk to someone. Thanks to apps, phones can do everything from becoming a handheld GPS to letting you do banking and everything in between.

The Greater Vernon Museum and Archives will be looking at the seemingly endless number of phone apps available during the 'There’s an App for That' exhibit that opened today at 10 a.m.

On display as part of the exhibit will be a number of artifacts from the museum's collection that may one day become obsolete due to the advancement of the cell phone.

Which ones do you think will remain, despite the competition from cell phones?

Which will vanish?

The family-friendly exhibit will remain throughout the summer and into the fall, closing Saturday Oct. 6.

The museum will be open Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Regular admission fees apply.
