Motorists are being advised to avoid the intersection of Holt Street and Parkcrest Avenue because of an accident.
UPDATE 4:04 p.m.
RCMP said it is expected Parkcrest Avenue will be closed until at least 5 p.m.
Motorists are being advised to avoid the intersection of Holt Street and Parkcrest Avenue because of an accident.
Cpl. Jodi Shelkie said at 2:15 p.m. a single vehicle hit a power pole at the intersection, causing a power line to come down and land on top of the vehicle.
“BC Hydro will be attending soon to remove the live power line and then the vehicle can be towed away,” said Shelkie. “At this time Parkcrest Avenue is closed between Singh and Southill to both vehicles and pedestrians.”
It is expected that the road will be open again at approximately 3 p.m.
