Deadly gas stn shooting

UPDATE: 11:15 a.m.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team is calling for the public's help in the case of a shooting at a Langley gas station.

Police were called to the Chevron station at 232nd Street and 72nd Avenue, near the Trans-Canada Highway about 9 p.m. Tuesday.

Officers found a man with gunshot wounds on the ground. The victim was rushed to hospital, but did not survive.  

Soon after the shooting, RCMP were notified of a burning Dodge pickup on the 8300 block of 196th Street. 

IHIT says this appears to be a targeted incident. 

“We are specifically asking for dash cam video from drivers who were travelling along 72nd Avenue between 232nd Street and Highway 10 at around 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. yesterday evening," says Cpl. Frank Jang.

A man is dead after a shooting at a Langley gas station.

A black Range Rover SUV could be seen with six bullet holes in the windshield, and crime tape surrounded the pumps at the Chevron service station at 232nd Street and Highway 1.

More bullet holes were in the driver's side window.

Integrated Homicide Investigation Team officers were pouring over the scene of what appears to be a targeted hit.
