A water quality advisory has been issued for several homes near Westside Road.

The advisory, issued by the Regional District of Central Okanagan, affects nearly 500 customers of the Killiney Beach and Westshore Estates water systems.

An increase in turbidity from high spring runoff has resulted in water quality that may impact children, the elderly or those with weakened immune systems.

It is recommended customers on both systems boil water intended for drinking, washing fruit and vegetables, making beverages, ice or brushing teeth.

The water advisory will remain in effect until conditions return to normal.,

Signs will be erected in the affected areas advising of the water advisory.
