You can run but can't hide

An Enderby man wanted for several serious charges has been arrested. 

Vernon North Okanagan RCMP say the man was arrested after a brief manhunt on a rural property in Enderby.  

On April 21, The 25-year-old was spotted by an officer while riding a motorcycle along Watershed Road. He was recognized for being wanted on several outstanding warrants. 

The man tried to take off on police by riding onto a rural property but wiped out on his bike. He then fled on foot.   

RCMP surrounded the area and brought in the Police Service Dog Unit and the Air Services Unit.

Police were eventually able to find the man hiding behind a shed. He was arrested without incident. 

"This particular male has been at large for several months on outstanding warrants for serious offences committed in the Enderby and North Okanagan area," says Const. Kelly Brett. "A considerable amount of hours were spent in attempting to locate this individual, by Vernon North Okanagan RCMP Members and on this particular day, the wanted man’s luck ran out." 

The man remains in custody and will be facing possible charges relating to firearm, drug and failing to comply with probation order offences.
