Gas prices are inching closer to $1.60 a litre in Metro Vancouver.
Lower Mainland commuters woke up Wednesday to fuel prices at 158.9 cents a litre at some stations.
That's another record high for the region, breaking this week's 157.9.
Gasbuddy.com's Dan McTeague told CTV the switch to summer-blend fuel, rising crude oil prices and a drop in the loonie's value are all contributing to the increases.
And, he predicts pump prices will climb even higher over the spring and summer.
