The former home of Turner Volkswagen is poised to become “Kelowna’s newest mixed-use dining and farm-fresh culinary market destination.”

Al Stober Construction says it’s overhauling the former car dealership to create The District Market, which will feature six new retail tenants in the Landmark area.

Meiklejohn Architects have revamped the building into a “bright and open warehouse/industrial looking space” that Al Stober says will make it more small-scale and pedestrian friendly.

The goal is to make the area a local food hub, which will open to the public this summer.
