Re: Owning two homes

The letter recently sent in stating that if you can't afford Kelowna, then move, hit a very bad nerve for me. This mentality is wrong and it will hurt the city, not help it.

Who brings you "affording" people your meals when you go to a restaurant? Who collects your trash? Who bags your groceries? Do you expect the car mechanic of your BMW to get up and drive 2-3-4 hours from his/her affordable house to fix your car and make the return trip back? All these are great, respectable jobs, why can't they expect to be comfortable in Kelowna too?

This single minded mentality has got to go. It's the thing that brings down cities, it doesn't build them.
