3 former Falcons in MLB

The West Coast League Kelowna Falcons will be well represented as Major League Baseball kicks off its 2018 season today.

Three former Falcons find themselves on opening day rosters.

Toronto relief pitcher Ryan Tepera (2009), Baltimore first baseman Chris Davis (2005) and Seattle starter James Paxton (2007), are all on their respective rosters.

Paxton will start the second game of the season for the Mariners Friday.

During his one season with the Falcons, Davis, who led the major in homers in 2013 and 2015, led the team in home runs (5), RBI's (29) and batting average (.331).

In 2007, Paxton led the Falcons in strikeouts with 62 and was third with a 2.94 earned run average.

The Falcons are in the process of putting their 2018 squad together. They will open up the 2018 season June 1 at Elk Stadium against Bellingham.
