Witnesses tell Castanet the driver fled the scene of an accident last night on Valley Road.

Richard Long said at 9 p.m. Friday, he heard “screeching tires and a loud thud.”

When he went to investigate, he found a small car had hit a light post, but there was no sign of a driver or passengers at the scene.

RCMP were called.
