One person dead, and another is in critical condition following early morning crash on Highway 97, 20 kilometres south of Prince George.
The two-vehicle crash happened around 7:15 a.m. and involved a passenger car and a pickup.
"RCMP and Emergency service personnel remain on scene. The causal factors of the crash have not yet been determined, however, the roads were covered in ice and packed snow at the time of the crash," stated RCMP Cpl. Madonna Saunderson in a press release.
The highway is currently closed to all traffic at this time while police gather forensic evidence in this investigation. A detour is available around the crash scene.
