Power has been restored for everyone but a small handful of FortisBC customers along Highway 33 in the Joe Rich and Big White areas.

Power in the Big White area went out an about 1:30 Friday morning when trees fell on a power line. About 2,000 customers were affected.

Nearly 500 customers along Highway 33 in the Joe Rich area were also affected by the outage.

Closer to Black Mountain, 103 customers have had their power restored after "wet snow" was deemed to have caused the power to go out.

Large swaths of east Kelowna and Big White are without power this morning. One Big White resident says power has been out since 1 a.m.

Fortis BC's outage map indicates more than 2,000 customers are without power.

Power has been restored to residents on Goudie Road.

No word on whether the outages are water related.
