The Trail Smoke Eaters pulled even with the Penticton Vees in the BCHL Interior Division semifinals with a 6 - 3 win at home Wednesday night.
While the game was equal with with just six minutes left in the third, a pair of quick goals and an empty netter from Trail sent the Smokies back to Penticton with a 2 - 2 series tie.
Trail goalie Adam Marcoux stopped 28 shots, good enough for the game's second star in front of 2,492 fans at the Cominco Arena.
Penticton goals came from Jonny Tychonick, Lukas Sillinger and Wyatt Sloboshan.
Game five goes Friday night at 7 p.m. at the South Okanagan Events Centre. Tickets available online.
