Alzheimers need to know

Madison Erhardt

Discovery Channel's Jay Ingram is in Kelowna, hoping to educate people on what Alzheimer's disease is all about.

"Most people understand that it's a tragic situation that we don't seem to have control of, but I think the fact that every one of us knows somebody who has Alzheimers, we really should know more about it than we generally do," Ingram said, who is touring the province.

His discussion at Kelowna Community Theatre tonight is roughly 45 minutes.

The scientist asks and answers three questions the general public often has when it comes to the disease.

1. Am I going to get it?

2. What can I do to lower my risk?

3. Let's say I do get it, what then?

If you can't attend, check out Ingram's The End of Memory for more information.
