Valentine's, do you care?

Madison Erhardt

Valentines Day is here. While many choose to dismiss it, a new poll by Insights West finds three out of four people plan to celebrate the lovers' day.

In the online survey of Canadians currently in a relationship, 82 per cent called Valentine’s Day “just a commercial enterprise,” while three in five said it's “a waste of time and money.”

Still, only a quarter of respondents said they won't do anything special to celebrate Valentine’s Day.

One third, 32 per cent will go out to dinner, 24 per cent will cook a special meal at home, 23 per cent will include intimacy in their celebration and 22 per cent will give a greeting card to their spouse or partner.

Castanet hit the streets to see what Okanagan residents' Valentine's plans are.
