Master ballet class back

The Chan Hon Goh Masterclass series is back in Kelowna by popular demand this week.

Goh, a Prima Ballerina of the National Ballet of Canada (1994-2009) and current Director of the esteemed Goh Ballet Academy in Vancouver is once again touring  select Canadian and American cities where participants will experience first hand the thought-provoking coaching that focuses on emotional artistic expression and advanced technique to propel each dancer to the next level.

"I am so looking forward to coming to Kelowna, I have been doing this for 3 years and I always look forward to returning because The Canadian School of Ballet in Kelowna has some excellent students."

Students participating will also be considered for a scholarship supported by the Goh Ballet Vancouver Society. These scholarships, valued at $5,000 total, will be awarded during the national tour based on artistic potential and technique.

The Chan Hon Goh Masterclass series is a unique opportunity for aspiring professional dancers and dedicated ballet students to develop their technique, skills, and artistry, by learning in a concentrated setting from one of Canada’s most gifted and prolific ballet dancers and educators. Students between the ages of 11 and 18 years are invited to attend one of two sessions based on skill level: Pique (Junior Level - a minimum completion of Grade 5 RAD), and Jete (Senior Level - a minimum of 2 years pointe work, and Grade 8 or Intermediate RAD).

Students will hone their abilities under Goh's watchful eye.

Each class has limited spots, which guarantees substantial one-on-one attention for each student. Additionally, at the end of each class, all participants are invited to join Ms. Goh for a special Q&A as a part of the experience.

Limited spots are available for Master Classes with Chan Hon Goh.
