Environment Canada issued a snowfall warning on Saturday morning for the Coquihalla Highway between Hope and Merritt.

Heavy snowfall is expected to begin falling on Saturday night on the mountain highway, with 15 to 20 centimetres likely to fall by Sunday morning.

Between 20 and 30 cm is expected to fall by Sunday evening.

Motorists are urged by Environment Canada to adjust driving to the road conditions, which can change suddenly on mountain passes.
