A third incident of someone being pricked by a needle in downtown Victoria has been reported in just one week.
Victoria Police say a syringe appeared to have been intentionally placed in the soil of a planter with its needle pointing straight up.
Police were called to the 700 block of Johnson Street Monday after the uncapped syringe was found.
The woman was pricked in a similar incident last week, but did not report it to police. She wasn't pricked in Monday's incident.
A toddler was pricked by a needle at a Pandora Avenue McDonald's restaurant a week ago. And a woman walking her dog on Pembroke Street picked up a paper bag and was pricked just one day later.
Anyone with information is asked to call police at 250-995-7654 or CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
