Snow clearing after avalanche control in the Kootenay Pass

DriveBC reports avalanche control work between Nelson and Creston has been completed and Highway 3 is reopened.
ORIGINAL 11 a.m.
Highway 3 will be closed about 30 kilometres west of Creston through the Kootenay Pass today for avalanche control.
About 27 kilometres of the highway will be closed between 12 p.m. and 3 p.m, according to DriveBC.
An alternate route between Nelson and Creston is available via Highway 3A and the Kootenay Lake Ferry, with an estimated travel time of 2.5 hours.
