Emergency crews at the scene of the crash at Sun-Oka Beach, south of Summerland, say the collision was caused when a N-driver in a sedan was passing, and lost control spinning into a silver SUV.

There was one person in each vehicle. One was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

“The roads are extremely icy right now, the best thing to do is slow down, there is nothing that you need to get to in a big rush,” Cst. Layne Morris said.

The extent of any injuries sustained in the three-vehicle crash north of Summerland on Hwy 97 are unknown.

Emergency crews are also being dispatched to a new rollover at Prairie Valley Road and Walker Avenue in Summerland.
