May get a white Christmas

Madison Erhardt

According to Environment Canada the Okanagan could be getting a white Christmas.

The good news is the snow won't hit until Friday and there won't be much of it.

"It's not going to be a major snowstorm. It may be two to four centimetres, but hopefully that will get us back on track for a white Christmas," said Environment Canada Meteorologist, Matt MacDonald.

As for this week, temperatures should stay around the seasonal average, with the majority of the week being overcast.

"We continue to be plagued with this very stubborn and stagnant weather pattern. More valley clouds and fog will continue to be seen across the Okanagan, but I encourage people to head above the valley cloud because it is gloriously sunny up there, MacDonald added.

Tuesday will see a high of -1 C and overcast.

Wednesday and Thursday will see -5 C and a mix of sun and cloud.

Friday the flurries will start with a high of zero.

Saturday and Sunday will warm up slightly with a high of 2 C and light snow.
