Seth Meyers and his wife Alexi Ashe are expecting their second child.
The TV host and comedian made the announcement during the yearly family Thanksgiving edition of his late-night chat show Late Night with Seth Meyers on Thursday night.
In a segment with his mother Hilary, father Laurence and brother Josh, Seth stopped and turned to the camera, stating, "I want to take this opportunity now... my wife and I are expecting a second baby."
The new addition will be a sibling for Seth and Alexi's first child, a son named Ashe Olsen Meyers, who was born in March 2016.
Seth and his family are all "very excited" over the news, with the 43-year-old's mum sharing that he called her "sobbing" when he first told her of Alexi's pregnancy.
"My Seth is sometimes a crier. So. he's crying on the phone and he can't catch his breath, he's sobbing," said Hilary. "(He said), 'It's wonderful news, it's wonderful news... I said, 'Why are you crying?' He said, 'Because for over a month I've had to pretend I don't care what sex it is, and I do care, I want a little boy!'"
Seth then explained that he "really wanted" for his son to have a brother, because he was "so lucky" to grow up with Josh, who is also an actor and comedian.
And while the couple are yet to settle on a name for the impending arrival, Seth's dad is keen on Albert.
"We've had five sheep dogs, they're all named Albert. I really love the dog and I always wonder what it would sound like if it could talk," said Laurence, adding: "I figure, if they name the kid Albert, eventually he'll start to talk, and I'll say, 'Oh, yeah that's it!'"
