Dog walker missing

UPDATE: 9 a.m.

Search and rescue crews are busy combing trails in Coquitlam for signs of a dog walker missing overnight.

Annette Poitras was walking 2 dogs plus her own dog Monday afternoon, in the area of Westwood Plateau Golf Course.

Her husband, Marcel Poitras was expecting her home before dark. When she didn't return he got worried and began looking for her.

"I text her and say, 'Hey, are you OK? How's it going?' And tried calling her a few times," Marcel Poitras said.

Poitras found her empty van and called 911.

A team of about 20 volunteers spent the evening searching the area for signs of the 56-year-old, hoping she'd stopped to take care of one of the animals but was unharmed herself.
